Bowling Green Bound!
Posted On 29 Nov 2013
Wide receiver Chase Lowrie found the end zone three times in the Yellow Jackets’ win over Raceland Friday night. Quarterback Dalton Sizemore ran in one score, as did running back Jefferson Patrick, with Brently Patrick handling kicking duties. The Jacket defense played well all night, holding their opponents to only one score.
Williamsburg will now look toward next Friday’s state championship game, where they will face off against the Mayfield Cardinals, who defeated Frankfort in convincing fashion, 35-7. Kickoff for this historic matchup is set for 11 AM on the morning of December 6 at Feix Field, Houchens/LT Smith Stadium on the campus of Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green.

Mhs fan wants to know about jackets
If students at WHS football games are caught under the influence of alcohol or drugs would they receive a suspension? I for one do not drink or take drugs during a high school football game. I would like to know how WHS handles the open beer and alcohol in the end zone at all the football games? There is a perception that the community, school and police are turning a blind eye. Do you as parents and school officials not understand doing this consistently is sending a message to our students that drugs and alcohol use at our school is OK. This behavioral is drawing negative . attention to our school. I understand that you can’t punish adults into good behavior. It’s about consequences for bad choices and intervention and education that the adults will make different choices in the future. We want our students to be the best on and off the field of play “Don’t We”? Just my observation! I have seen so called leaders in our community drinking openly in front of our students. I have seen some parents that could not even walk without help. It you as WPD found these people drunk on main street just what would you do? This has to stop for the students if you want to make an ass out of yourself don’t do it in front of my child that’s in the 8th grade “PLEASE”. I would like for you to act as an adult. I would like to know what Mr. Byrd has to say about this, after all he is the leader of this school?
Go Jacket Football team win the State. All you guys that drink in the end zone at WHS I dare you to do the same in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Just stop and think of what was said our mission is for our kids.
Williamsburg/Whitley County needed this win. It is a very exciting time that has brought this community together and the fans support is outstanding. I didn’t believe it would ever happen or expected that WHS would now be playing for the Class A State Title. This is a dream come true. I could see this team progress and began to believe in each other, to most schools in Kentucky this is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. These kids kelp on plugging away and believed in each other and the coaches. Williamsburg will win the State Title. “Go Jackets”
