Bertha Jones

Bertha Jones, age 78, of Williamsburg, KY, passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at the home of her daughter.
She was born December 30, 1944 in Bell County, KY to the late Steve, Sr. and Beddie Shears McVay. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Tommie A. Jones; sons-in-law, Rev. Larry Casper and Rev. Donald Rogers; three sisters, Nannie Early, Brenda McVay, Ettia Lee Davis; three brothers, Henry McVay, George McVay, and Cleo McVay.
She is survived by her daughter, Ruth Ann Casper Rogers (Floyd) of Richmond, KY; two sons, David A. Jones of Williamsburg, KY, and Bert A. Jones of Williamsburg, KY; six grandchildren, Laura Casper, Tiffany Casper, Shania Day, Tommie Andrew Jones, Sierra Caddell, and Arthur Rogers; five great grandchildren, Larra Casper, Paisley Rogers, Raelyn Rogers, Zayden Davis, Tyla Mae Bellestri; three sisters, Evelyn Lay of GA, Cleda Caddell of Williamsburg, KY, and Linda Baker of Williamsburg, KY; six brothers, Steve McVay, Jr. of Williamsburg, KY, Allen McVay of Toledo, OH, Robert McVay of Williamsburg, KY, Tommie McVay of Williamsburg, KY, Emmanuel McVay of Williamsburg, KY, and Clayton Brown of Williamsburg, KY; special friend, Tina Bellestri; several nieces, nephews, and a host of relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral service was Friday, March 3, at the Ellison Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Masters and Rev. Leslie Broughton officiating.
Interment was in Alsile Cemetery.
