Bailey Cecil Powers

Bailey Cecil Powers, age 66, of Crisp Court, Williamsburg, Kentucky departed this life on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at Baptist Health in Corbin, Kentucky. Cecil was born on August 31, 1955 in Jellico, Tennessee to the late Charlie and Mae (Laxton) Powers. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Alvin Smiddy and Charles Smiddy; and two sisters, Wilma Davenport and Betty Baker.
Cecil was a former Supervisor of Sanitation and Roads for the City of Williamsburg and the Whitley County Fiscal Court House.
He is survived by his wife of over 48 years, Willa (White) Powers of Williamsburg; three sons, Cecil Floyd Powers and wife Tammy of Pine Knot, Kentucky, Gary Ray Powers (Robin Brimm) of Williamsburg and Tommy Gene Powers of Williamsburg; seven grandchildren, Corey Staley of Marshes Siding, Kentucky, Devin Staley (Jazma) of Somerset, Colton Powers of Pine Knot, Harleigh Brimm (Brook Powers of Williamsburg, Caitlen Powers of Corbin, Summer Powers of Corbin and Karsyn Powers of Pine Knot; six great-grandchildren, Kardyn Staley of Marshes Siding, Hunter, Ellis and Dakotah Staley of Somerset, Allyson Brimm of Williamsburg and Greyson Bruce of Williamsburg; two brothers, Condon Powers and Don Powers; four sisters, Grace Smith, Vergie Mullis, Doris Powers and Brenda Morgan; many nieces and nephews; an enormous host of other loved ones and friends to mourn his passing.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 6:00 P.M. Thursday, September 30, at the Williamsburg Civic Center.
