Authorities seek man who robbed Jellico bank Monday

A surveillance video photo of the man authorities say robbed a Jellico bank Monday.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation and Jellico Police Chief Chris Anderson are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a man, who robbed a First State Financial Bank branch in Jellico, Tenn., Monday morning.
About 10:49 a.m., the robber entered the First State Financial Bank branch at 996 Fifth Street in Jellico and presented a note to the bank employees demanding money. Investigators haven’t revealed what the note said. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of money from the bank, the robber fled on foot.
The suspect is a white male in his early to mid-20s, who is believed to be between 5’6” to 5’8” tall weighing between 130 and 140 pounds.
He has a slim build and was wearing a camouflage hooded sweatshirt, camouflage shorts and sun glasses.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Knoxville Division of the FBI at (865) 544-0751 or the Jellico Police Department at (423) 784-6123.
A reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of this individual, according to an FBI press release.
So far, no amount of the reward has been set yet.
No one was injured during the robbery, and there are no reports about the suspect having a weapon, according to FBI Supervisory Special Agent Marshall Stone.
So far there are no suspects in the case, and authorities don’t believe that the robbery is connected to any other cases, Stone said.
The matter is being investigated jointly by the Jellico Police Department and the FBI Safe Streets Task Force (SSTF), composed of the FBI, Knoxville Police Department, and the Knox County Sheriff’s Department.
