A man was arrested in Laurel County on second-degree assault charges after he allegedly struck a man in the back of the head with a whiskey bottle.

Sean Frederick is facing a second-degree assault charge for allegedly striking someone with a whiskey bottle.
Sean Anthony Frederick, 32, was arrested on June 26 for striking Tony Gray on May 15 with a whiskey bottle. The incident caused physical harm to Gray and because a weapon, whiskey bottle, was used, Gray was charged with second-degree assault.
According to the arrest warrant, Gray and his wife went to Gray’s stepdaughter’s home after being invited to come meet some of the stepdaughter’s friends. When Gray was trying to leave, Frederick allegedly struck Gray over the head.
Three or four other people joined Frederick in striking, kicking and stomping Gray. The arrest warrant appears to state that Frederick was taken to the hospital for injuries although Gray was the individual attacked.
