Arlis Wilson
Arlis Wilson, 72 years, 6 months, and 10 days of age, of Vanderpool Road, Williamsburg, departed this life on Thursday, September 15, 2016 at his home.
He was born on March 10, 1944 in Williamsburg, to the late Elmer Josh Wilson and Mary Edna (Lanham) Wilson.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Luella Ann McPhee-Wilson; mother of his children, Dorothy Jean (Thomas) Wilson; a brother, Elo Wilson and two sisters, Irene Strunk and Lorene Walker.
Arlis is retired from Ford Motor Company of Sterling Heights, Michigan after 30 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Wilson of Williamsburg; two sons, Michael Wilson and wife Melissa of Ortonville, MI and Timothy Wilson and wife Mossie of Williamsburg; two daughters, Rebecca Wilson (Beckie) of Williamsburg and Mildred Wilson (Millie) of Clinton Township, MI; stepson, Randy Lewis of Williamsburg, stepdaughter, Brenda Lewis of Williamsburg; 13 grandchildren, Shelby Wilson of Deltona, FL, Wyatt Wilson of Ft. Campbell, Wayde and Ashley Wilson of Ortonville, MI, Kaitlyn Wilson, Kimberly Wilson, Makayla Croley, Timothy Wilson Jr., Douglas Wilson, Abigail White, Payton White and Tyler White all of Williamsburg, and Jacob Wilson of Clinton Township, MI; one great-grandson, Levi Wilson of Williamsburg; brother, Coy Wilson of Corbin; four sisters, Bonnie Walker, Wilma Keith, Elsie Keith (Johnny) and Elva Hinkle (James) all of Williamsburg; several nieces and nephews; and host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services were held Sunday, September 18, at the Canadatown Holiness Church with Rev. Ronald Canada and Rev. Rob Powers officiating.
He was laid to rest in the Canadatown Cemetery. Tim Wilson, Mike Wilson, Randy Lewis, Patrick Dishmon, Jacob Wilson and Wayde Wilson will serve as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers were T.J. Wilson, Douglas Wilson, Levi Wilson, Wyatt Wilson, Payton White and Tyler White.
