The Arena hosting ‘Celebrate America’ event July 3
Working in conjunction with the City of Corbin and Corbin Tourism and Convention Commission, the Corbin Arena is presenting a Celebrate America event on July 3 at the Arena.
Festivities will include live music, featuring Timberline Road and County Wide beginning at 6:45 p.m. Fireworks are set to go off at 9:45 p.m.
Timberline Road, who is set to open for the evening, is a newly formed band with a bluegrass and gospel sound. Soon to follow is the popular County Wide, a southern rock band with a country flare.
There will be activities to participate in before the fireworks begin alongside the musical performances, according to Maggy Kriebel, Director of the Corbin Tourism and Convention Commission.
Food and refreshments will be served by the Arena concessions. Kriebel says there will an ice cream truck and shaved ice vendor in attendance as well.
“The fireworks will take place on the mountain top, and will be able to be seen throughout town,” said Kriebel.
Kriebel also advised guests to remember that it is festival seating.
“One of the big things that we want to encourage people to do is bring their chairs and blankets because it is an outside event,” said Kriebel.
The event is free and family friendly, so all residents and guests are welcome to attend.
