Are you serious?
What a joke today’s fuel scare has been. It all started when my wife told me to fill up with gas around 7 a.m. before she went to work. I thought, OK, I will do that.
Around 10 a.m. when I logged on to the internet to check out the day, I saw a report of how gas prices were expected to rise in a hurry. I knew then I better go get some fuel. I was lucky. I was able to fill up both tanks for $3.44 a gallon. Everyone else has been paying near $4 a gallon since then. Several stations locally are out of fuel and the others are making a king’s ransom.
The thing that really ticks me off about this whoe situation is, when asking the managers of some stations why they raise the prices today, the reply was sickening.
Not because they paid more, not because they are running out, simply because the other guys did it.
What kind of reasoning is that? In my opinion, some of these stations need to be looked into. Look at our breaking news on the home page here if you are interested in logging a complaint with the Attorney General’s office.
For now, good luck at the pumps. I think I will stay home and watch football all weekend.
