Anonymous tip leads Knox deputies to active meth lab in Gray
Acting on an anonymous complaint, Knox County Sheriff’s deputies reported finding an active methamphetamine lab at a Gray residence and arrested on person in connection with the lab Wednesday.
According to Sheriff Mike Smith, Deputy Keith Liford arrested 27-year-old Anita Perry on charges of manufacturing methamphetamine, first-degree possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine, unlawful possession of methamphetamine precursors and tampering with physical evidence.
Smith stated that deputies found an active one step meth lab inside the residence along with several ingredients used in the manufacture of methamphetamine and a coffee filter containing a white powder substance believe to be finished meth.
Knox County Constable Reed Murphy assisted at the scene.
A Kentucky State Police Drug Enforcement Special Investigations Branch meth disposal unit member also responded to the scene taking possession of the active lab.
