An Evening with Silas House…

About 80 people turned out at the Corbin Public Library Thursday for “An Evening with Silas House.”
House, who is originally from Lily, is a New York Times bestselling author of seven novels, three plays and a book of creative nonfiction.
He is also a former commentator on NPR’s “All Things Considered.”
House was on hand at the Corbin Public Library to do a reading from his new book, “Lark Ascending,” have a question and answer session and do a book signing.
Corbin Mayor Suzie Razmus presented House with a key to the city, made him a Corbin Colonel and presented him with a proclamation declaring Dec. 1 as “Silas House Day” in the city of Corbin.
