Almeda Mays Rice

Almeda Mays Rice, 77, of Clairfield, TN passed away Monday, November 5, 2018 at the Jellico Community Hospital.

She was born October 20, 1941 in Pruden, KY.

Almeda was preceded in death by her father: Calvin Leroy Mays; mother, Marie Corli Mays; brother, Billy Hugh Mays; two nephews, Doot and Stacy Allen.

She is survived by a son, Clifton “Little Joe” Rice; two grandchildren, Jill and Jody; seven great grandchildren; three sisters, Mary Lou Lambdin and husband Ronald, Margaret Kepler and husband George, Jacqueline Marlow and husband Jeff; special niece, Thomasina “Sissy” Taylor and husband Mark; sisters-in-law, Wilma Mays, Pauline Mays; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and family to mourn her passing in which she will be sadly missed by all of us.

The funeral was held Wednesday, November 7 at the Harp Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lonnie Lyke and Rev. Eddie Johnson officiating.

Burial was held Thursday, November 8, in the Fonde Church of God Cemetery.

Harp Funeral Home of Jellico was in charge of arrangements.
