Aileen June Childers

Aileen June Childers, 81, of Williamsburg, departed this life on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at the Williamsburg Health and Rehab Center.

She was born on March 21, 1937 in Whitley County, to the late Mitchell Perkins and Celia (Lawson) Perkins.

She was also preceded in death by her husband J.L. Childers.

Aileen was a member of Yaden Church of God.

She is survived by three daughters, Patricia Centers of Williamsburg, Brenda Joyce Stark of Williamsburg and Wanda Kay Sprinkles of Bowling Green; son, Rev. James Mitchell Childress and wife Sandy of Dallas, TX; eight grandchildren, Lindsey Nicole Stark, Whitney Stark and Haley Stark of Richmond, Kristin Meredith and Shannon Childress of Toledo, OH, Amanda Sprinkles of Bowling Green and David James “D.J.” Centers and Madison Ileen Centers of Williamsburg; great-grandchildren, Kayden James, Koleson Jace, Karter Jean, Kennedy, Henry “Hank”, Orlando, Jackson, Brantley and Hunter and a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.

The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 18, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerome McCullah and Rev. Billy Carpenter officiating.

Following the service she will be laid to rest in the Whitley Memorial Gardens.
