Providing clarity: A recent vote by the Corbin City Commission to make changes to the traffic pattern along two small portions of Roy Kidd Avenue has left many area residents confused as to exactly what to expect once the new pattern is implemented. The changes, which were proposed to the city by the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC), would prevent traffic from moving across Main Street where it meets Roy Kidd Avenue by making each one-block portion a one-way road. This will limit each portion to only being accessed by turning off of Main Street. As part of the changes, one lane of each portion will be altered and utilized for parking. City officials stated that the KYTC was not open to placing a traffic signal at the intersection.
