PUBLIC NOTICE
An ordinance amending the Whitley County Budget for Fiscal Year 2014-2015, to include unanticipated receipts increasing/decreasing from the General, Road, Jail funds in the amount of $81,056.00 and increasing/decreasing expenditures from the General, Road, Jail funds in the amount of $81,056.00 was passed on 12/16/14. A copy of the Ordinance with full text is available for public inspection at the Office of the County Judge Executive during normal business hours.

NOTICE OF BOND RELEASE
In accordance with the provisions of KRS 350.093, notice is hereby given that G & S Coal, Inc., 11016 Highway 92 East, Williamsburg, KY 40769, has applied for a combined Phase II & III bond release of Permit No. 918-5186, which was last issued on 12-1-2014. This application covers an area of 8.3 acres of surface area and located on Coalstone Branch in Whitley County.
The permit area is approximately 0.8 miles southwest of KY Route 904’s junction with KY 92 at Siler, KY. The latitude is 36° 41’ 15”. The longitude is 83° 58’ 42”.
The KY Bonding Pool bond now in effect is $14,900.00, of which 100 percent is requested to be included in this phase of bond release.
Reclamation work performed includes: As of October 15, 2010, the mine site has been backfilled and graded, and seeded and mulched according to the revegetation plan. The mine site is revegetated.
Written comments, objections, and requests for a public hearing must be submitted to the Cabinet at: Director, Division of Field Services, #2 Hudson Hollow, Frankfort, KY 40601, by January 30, 2015.
A public hearing has been scheduled for 9:00 a.m. On February, 2 2015, at the Middlesboro Regional Office, 1804 E. Cumberland Ave., Middlesboro, KY 40965. This hearing will be canceled if the Cabinet does not receive a request in writing for the public hearing by January 30, 2015
NOTICE OF BOND RELEASE
In accordance with KRS 350.093, notice is hereby given that Alden Resources LLC, 332 West Cumberland Gap Parkway, Corbin, KY 40701, has filed for a Phase III bond release on Increment No. 1, 3, 5, 6, and 7 of permit number 918-5195 which was last issued on March 13, 2012. The application covers an area of approximately 236.72 acres located 0.8 miles of Mud Creek road and the junction with KY 1595.
The permit area is approximately 1.5 miles northwest of Frakes, KY, and located 0.8 miles northeast of Mud Creek Road with the junction of KY 1595. The latitude is 36°39’08”. The longitude is 83°57’16”.
The bond now in effect for increment 1 is a surety in the amount of $5,100.00. Approximately 15% of the original bond amount of $10,900.00 is included in this application for release. The bond now in effect for increment 3 is a surety bond in the amount of $15,900.00. Approximately 15% of the original $37,400.00 is included in this application for release. The bond now in effect for increment 5 is a surety bond in the amount of $12,100.00. Approximately 15% of the original bond amount of $29,700.00 is included in this application for release. The bond now in effect for increment 6 is a surety bond in the amount of $3,300.00. Approximately 15% of the original bond amount of $8,800.00 is included in this application for release. The bond now in effect for increment 7 is a surety bond in the amount of $9,100.00. Approximately 15% of the original bond amount of $21,600.00 is included in this application for release.
Reclamation work performed includes: Backfilling, regrading, topsoil replacement, and drainage control including soil preparation and initial seeding and mulching in accordance with the approved reclamation plan completed November 15, 2010.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO MINE
Pursuant to Application Number 918-0447
In accordance with KRS 350.070 notice is hereby given that Alden Resources LLC 332 West Cumberland Gap Parkway, Suite 100, Corbin, Kentucky 40701 has applied for a major revision to an existing surface coal mining and reclamation operation located 0.5 miles north of Perkins in Whitley County. The major revision will add 4.31 acres of surface disturbance and will underlie an additional 32.79 acres of auger area making a total area of 669.97 acres within the revised permit boundary.
The proposed major revision area is approximately 0.9 miles east from the Maple Creek Road (KY HWY 779) junction with Brown Creek Road and located 600 feet southeast of Phoebe Fork.
The proposed major revision is located on the Rockholds, KY 7½ minute quadrangle map. The surface area affected by the major revision is owned by Roger Griffith, Johnnie Johnson and Charles Paul. The major revision will underlie land owned by Roger Griffith and Johnnie Johnson. The operation will use the contour, area and auger methods of mining. The operation will affect an area within 100 feet of public road KY 779. The operation will involve relocation and closure of the public road for a period of one year. The road will be relocated and closed at approximate mile point 4.4 through mile point 4.7.

WGN America may be repositioned from Starter TV to Standard TV on or around January 1, 2015.
On or after January 13th, WTWV will be added to Digital Broadcast/Starter TV on digital channel 22 in Brownsville, Ripley and Bolivar, TN.
