Robbery investigation leads Knox deputies to meth lab
Knox County Sheriff’s deputies investigating the armed robbery of the Grab and Go Market in Gray discovered an active meth lab at a residence on Dr. Parker Lane Thursday afternoon.
Deputies arrested 30-year-old Raymond Goss and 26-year-old Erica Bowder, both of Gray, at 113 Doctor Parker Lane off of South Ky. 233 after reportedly finding the one-step meth lab, an undisclosed amount of finished meth and various methamphetamine precursors in the back bedroom of the home.
Deputy Drew Wilson said when deputies arrived at the residence, they made contact with the homeowner and were given consent to search.
"He said he didn’t know what was going on," Wilson said of the elderly man, noting social services were contacted about his condition and he was removed from the home.
Kentucky State Police Drug Enforcement Special Investigations Unit was called to the scene to secure the meth lab.
Bowder and Goss were each charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, first-degree wantong endamgnerment and possession of drug paraphernalia.
In addition, Goss is facing one count of trafficking in a controlled substance.
"He admitted to the trafficking," Wilson said.
Deputy Claude Hudson is continuing the investigation into the meth lab. He was assisted at the scene by deputies Drew Wilson and Tackett Wilson.
