Laurel deputies seeking public’s help to find men who stole coin-operate machine

Laurel County Sheriff’s deputies are searching for two men who took a coin-operated machine from the front of a North Corbin business last Tuesday.
According to Deputy Gilbert Acciardo, the department’s public affairs officer, the two males drove up to the business on West Cumberland Gap Pkwy. about 4 a.m.
While pretending to work on the car, the white males unbolted the machine and moved it to the rear of the store. They loaded the machine into the back of their car and drove away.
Acciardo stated the value of the machine is in excess of $1,500.
“We are not releasing the name of the business because we don’t want them to be victimized again,” Acciardo said.
While deputies were unable to provide any additional details of the men, Acciardo said the car is a four-door model, possibly a Chevrolet Impala, dark in color with paint damage to the roof and the rear trunk deck.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the sheriff’s department at (606) 864-6600 or (606) 878-7000.
Callers may remain anonymous.
Sgt. E.R. Rudder is continuing the investigation.
