Kenny Ray Shaw, Jr.
Kenny Ray Shaw, Jr., age 52, of Corbin, Kentucky departed this life on Friday, September 23, 2022 at his home. He was born on January 7, 1970 in Corbin, Kentucky.
He was preceded in death by his father, Kenny Ray Shaw, Sr. and his grandparents, Mary Ruth (Weaver) Shaw and Kenneth Shaw and John K. Jeffries and Geneva (Nunley) Jeffries.
Kenny is survived by his loving wife, Michelle Wilson Shaw of Corbin, Kentucky; five children, Kendra Jae Randle (Julius) of New York, New York, Jena Rae Swain (Dawson) of Williamsburg, Kentucky; Mikayla Rae Wilson (Steffan Stevens) of Somerset, Kentucky; Harlee Shaw of Harlan, Kentucky, and Emilee Shaw of Harlan, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Kyden Randle, Jayce Randle, and Kinsley Stevens; his mother, Gail Shaw Ellis “Mama Gail” of Corbin, Kentucky; his biological mother, Cheryl Hurt of Lake Wales, Florida; three brothers, Chris Shaw (Lea) of London, Kentucky, Kyle Hurt of St. Augustine, Florida, and Joey Wilson of Corbin, Kentucky; sister, Monica Bierlein (Chris) of Chatsworth, Georgia; aunt. Susie Jaynes; and special nephews, Teddy Allan Jaynes, Trent Jaynes, Kendale Wilson, Woodson Shaw, Phoenix Bierlein, Blakelea Shaw, Slade Shaw, and Stetson Shaw; and a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.
Kenny was a Veteran in the United States Air Force and the United States Army. He was also a police officer serving Williamsburg, Pineville, and Harlan. He was a member of the Blessed Hope Baptist Church.
Visitation will be 1:00 PM until the funeral hour on Wednesday, September 28, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM Wednesday, September 28, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Logan, Rev. Glen Wilson, and Chris Shaw officiating.
He will be laid to rest in the Croley Addition at Highland Park Cemetery.
