$1 million Powerball ticket sold in London
For the second time in a week and a half, a $1 million lottery ticket has been sold in Kentucky!
A player who purchased a ticket in London for last night’s Powerball drawing matched all five white ball winning numbers but not the Powerball. That means they’ve won the game’s second prize of $1 million. The white ball winning numbers on the ticket will be:
5 – 7 – 24 – 31 – 39
If the player had matched the Powerball number as well (7 was drawn for the Powerball), they would have won $185,000,000.
A $2 million Mega Millions ticket was sold in Frankfort for the September 5th Mega Millions drawing.
After a series of security checks are conducted at the retailer where the ticket was sold, the name of the store will be released. Lottery officials advise the winner to sign the back of their ticket and head to the organization’s headquarters in Louisville. Prizes must be claimed within 180 days after the drawing date.
