Jerry F. Taylor

Jerry F. Taylor, age 84, of Williamsburg, Ky., passed away Friday, August 19, 2022 at his home. He was born June 4, 1938 in Williamsburg, Ky. to the late Frank and Ruby Swain Taylor.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by two sons, Larry Taylor, and Jerry Allen Taylor; two grandchildren, Jessie Laine Taylor, and Jolee Grace Taylor; one sister, Barbara Croley; and one brother, Robert Taylor.
He taught school for seven years in the Whitley County School System, he served as Whitley County Judge Executive for 24 years and eight years as Whitley County Jailer.
He is survived by his wife, Oneida Alder Taylor of Williamsburg Ky; two children, Gary Taylor (Linda) of Williamsburg Ky., and Melissa Taylor of Williamsburg Ky; seven grandchildren, Christopher Taylor (Monica), Daniel Taylor, Conner Taylor, Sydnee Prewitt, Cooper Prewitt, Jenna Prewitt, and Kailee Taylor; three great-grandchildren, Jake Taylor, Jaron Taylor, and Henry Taylor; three sisters, Wilma Croley of Williamsburg Ky., Lana Harris (Richard) of Williamsburg, Ky., and Olivia Vanderpool (Kenneth) of Williamsburg, Ky; one brother, William Taylor (Barbara) of Milford OH; several nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral service will be 6:00 p.m. Monday, August 22, at Grace Christian Fellowship with Rev. Bill Carpenter and Rev. Gerald Mullins officiating.
Internment will be in the Emlyn Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until the funeral hour on Monday, August 22, at Grace Christian Fellowship.
