Help us ‘Pack the Rack’ for a chance to win $100 at NIBROC
Here we are… NIBROC 2022!
The carnival is all set up, vendors are ready to present their goods, and food tents/trailers are ready to feed hungry visitors. I am looking forward to taking in all of the sights and sounds that this year’s festival has to offer, including the annual parade, some great music courtesy of a fantastic lineup of musical acts, and a long list of other scheduled activities.
I am also looking forward to conversing with many of you News Journal readers out there, as we will have our own booth set up where several different things will be happening. Here is the plan…
First, visiting our booth could make you $100 richer, as we will be offering our first-ever “Pack the Rack” promotion. The rules are simple… Just come by, fill out some basic info, and put your entry form inside the rack that we will have on site. That’s it! On Monday, Aug. 15, we will reach inside the rack and draw out a winner. Entries will be limited one per person, so be sure to bring friends and family members along with you!
Also, as you may have noticed, we have been running ads in recent weeks promoting our festival subscription special. This is something that we typically do each year to coincide with both the NIBROC Festival in Corbin, as well as the Old Fashioned Trading Days Festival in Williamsburg. With 20 percent off the regular price for a local yearly subscription, many folks in our area choose to take advantage of this deal in order to continue receiving our newspaper in their mailboxes.
It is a really good deal, and to help make purchasing or renewing a subscription as easy as possible, we will be accepting those forms at our booth through Saturday evening. You can tear out the subscription form that is in the paper, fill it out, and turn it in along with your payment, or if you would rather wait and do everything at the booth, we will have forms there that can be filled out there as well.
We will accept cash or check on site. If you would like to pay with a card, that is also no problem. You can either submit that info to us for processing, or we can call it in to the office while you are there.
Also at our booth will be a ton of free materials. We are going to have several copies of the brand new Summer 2022 edition of Strictly Business Magazine, as well as some back issues that we ended up having extra copies of. Grab as many of these as you like.
We will have copies of our 2022 Community Directory available, which is full of information about our local area, as well as listings for a ton of local businesses and services.
The 2022 graduation tabloid is another freebie that will be found at our booth, so if you know a high school senior who graduated this past school year and would like a copy of this special insert, then come by and pick up one or two. Or maybe you already have one, and you would like an extra copy. Here’s your chance to get one.
FYI – our graduation tab includes seniors from Corbin, Williamsburg, Whitley County, Lynn Camp and Jellico High Schools.
I am keeping my fingers crossed for great weather and big turnouts in the days ahead. If you happen to make your way into downtown Corbin for NIBROC 2022, then please come by and say hello. I look forward to seeing you!
