Dave Cox selected as new superintendent of Corbin schools

After a search and interview process lasting more than five month, the Corbin Board of Education named current Assistant Superintendent Dave Cox to be the next superintendent of the school system.
Cox, a 1978 graduate of Corbin High School, has previously served as a teacher, assistant principal, principal and director of academic services since he was hired in 1992.
“After an intensive search process, the man with integrity, experience, humility, and the hear of a Redhound was the best choice for our next superintendent,” said Kim Croley, chair of the board of education.
The board approved a two-and-a-half year contract with Cox at a salary of $110,000 annually.
Cox will replace current Superintendent Ed McNeel who is set to retire effective Jan. 1.
