Cumberland Falls a finalist for Kentucky Living’s Best in Kentucky
Cumberland Falls State Resort Park has again been named among the list of finalists for Kentucky Living’s Best in Kentucky Contest, a place the park is certainly no stranger to.
The contest, which has been ongoing for more than a decade now, is meant to highlight locations throughout the state, ranging from destinations to food to activities, and allow readers to vote for their favorites in each category. This year, the park has been nominated in the best weekend getaway category, with competition from Mammoth Cave National Park and the Red River Gorge Geological Area.
Voting began May 1 and will be open through May 31. Those who wish to vote can do so by visiting www.kentuckyliving.com. Individuals can vote once a day during the contest period.
Cumberland Falls State Resort Park has a long history of being featured in the contest. Most recently, it took first place for long weekend getaway and third place for place for adventure in 2021, second place for day trip in 2020 and second place for both long weekend getaway and day trip in 2019. The park is already a part of Kentucky Living’s Hall of Fame for the scenic view category. A location is entered into the hall of fame by winning first place in the same category for three consecutive years. Kentucky Living’s Hall of Fame is a forever honor.
According to their website, Kentucky Living magazine is the most widely-published print publication in the state and strives to improve the quality of life for a community of people who take pride in thinking of themselves as Kentuckians and knowledgeable electric co-op members. Since the creation of Kentucky Living in the late 1940s, the magazine has been proud to uphold those values as it serves more than one million readers in print, and countless more on KentuckyLiving.com, according to their website.
