Joann Bales

Joann Bales, age 89, of Mt. View, Williamsburg, Kentucky departed this life on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at Christian Health Care in Corbin, Kentucky.
Joann was born on November 9, 1932 in Seco, Kentucky to the late Ora Jack Sexton and Mabel Elizabeth (Fleenor) Sexton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Paul Edward Swain and Jack Bales; siblings, Les Sexton, Marvin Sexton, Marion Sexton, Jackie Sexton, Glen Sexton, Wesley Sexton, Juanita Williams, and infant girl; and nephew, Robert Sexton.
She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Siler of Williamsburg, Kentucky and Sandra Norton (Brian) of Abingdon, Virginia; two grandchildren, Kandi Carpenter (Elvis) of Williamsburg and Randy Siler of Williamsburg; three great-grandchildren, Bridgett Carpenter, Darren Mullis, and Lindsey Siler; sister-in-law, Clara Sexton of Williamsburg; two nieces, Scotti Loudermilk of Williamsburg and Leigh Peak of Florida; nephew, Marion Sexton (Carol) of Williamsburg; and a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral service was Thursday, April 14, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sherman Ramsey officiating.
Interment was private.
