Rob loved people more than things. His cup was filled by his interactions with others, especially his family. He loved celebrating others’ victories, but also hurt with their sorrows. He was an ardent fan of the New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox, Boston Celtics, and Boston Bruins – even when they stunk. He was a 31-time consecutive finisher of the Bluegrass 10,000 on the 4th of July in Lexington, and loved to show up for all local road races. Despite wearing flip flops to farm in, he had a green thumb and enjoyed growing banana trees, peppers, tomatoes, and a happy, healthy family.
Funeral services was Saturday, March 26, at Croley Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Joe Eaton and Rev. Josh Pollitt officiating. Rob was laid to rest at Croley Addition of Highland Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Central Baptist Church, Whitley County Cattlemen’s Association, or Corbin Backpack Club in his honor.
