Garrett Gilbert Hamblin

Garrett Gilbert Hamblin, age 77 of Rockholds, KY, passed away Sunday, February 20, 2022 at Baptist Health Corbin. He was born February 3, 1945 in Whitley County, KY to the late Quillen and Mary Sullivan Hamblin.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by four siblings, Herman Hamblin, Nerva Manus, Robert Hamblin, and Martha Creekmore.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Joan Patsy Hamblin of Rockholds, KY; three children, Anthony Hill (Sandra) of Broken Bow, NE, Dwayne Hamblin (Priscilla) of Rockholds, KY, and Adam Hamblin (Sara) of Gloucester, VA; six grandchildren, Takoda Hamblin, Isabella Hamblin, Lily Hamblin, Nicolas Conaway, Robin Furchtenict, and William Allen Byrne; several great-grandchildren; one brother, Ed Hamblin (Ethel) of Williamsburg, KY; several nieces, nephews, and a host of relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM Friday, February 25, at the Ellison Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ben Morris officiating.
Interment will be in Freeman Cemetery.
Visitation will be 11:00 AM until the funeral hour on Friday, February 25, at Ellison Funeral Home.
