A loving papaw, Ray was an avid Christian who wanted nothing more than to see one more soul saved. He accepted Jesus as his savior in June of 1951 and lived the life that many only dream of. Truly a wonderful Christian man, Ray made sure that everyone he knew and everywhere he went knew about Jesus. If he wasn’t in church, he was fishing, watching ball games, swimming, or enjoying time with the multitude of grand and great-grandchildren. We know the angels were singing when this saint marched through heavens doors. He will be so very missed, but the reunion will be phenomenal.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 15, at Trinity Baptist Temple with Rev. Stacy White, Rev. Don Farmer, Rev. Jeff Ellis, and Rev. Harold Lawson officiating. Burial will follow in Moore Cemetery in Corbin, Ky.
