Donald Elmore
Donald Elmore, age 76 of London, KY, passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at the Williamsburg Health and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born November 15, 1945 in Knoxville, TN to the late Roy and Edda Lucille Tallent Elmore, the best parents anyone could have had.
Donald served three years in the U. S. Army, serving in Southeast Asia during the Vietnam War. He worked at Kern’s Bakery for 44 years as a route salesman and supervisor. After retiring he worked 10 years at Cumberland River Behavior Health, a job he dearly loved.
He is survived by two daughters, Tonya Winhoven (Jason), and Lyndsay Baker (James); four grandchildren, Channing Baker, Ethan Baker, Jody Baker, and Drake Baker; one sister, Barbara Lewis (Gordon); one brother, Roy Elmore, Jr. (Jane); special friend, Sue Sutton, and several nieces, nephews, and a host of relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral service was Saturday, January 1, at Faith Baptist Church in Corbin, KY with Rev. Bennie Bush and Rev. Ryan Chapman officiating. Interment was in Highland Park Cemetery Ellison Addition.
