NOTICE OF INTENTION TO MINE
Pursuant to Application 918-0465, Renewal
In accordance with the provisions of KRS 350.055, notice is hereby given that Mountainside Coal Co., Inc., 5540 KY 1809, Barbourville, KY 40906 has applied for a renewal of a permit for a surface and auger/highwall mining and reclamation operation affecting 339.89 surface acres and underlie an additional 201.1 aces, located approximately 1.5 miles northeast of the community of Siler in Whitley County.
The operation is approximately 2.4 miles northeast of the community of Siler and 1.8 miles north of the confluence of Harpes Creek and Puncheon Branch in Whitley County. The permit area is approximately 1.16 miles north of the intersection of Puncheon Branch Road and Harpes Creek Road.
The operation is located on the Frakes U.S.G.S. 7‑1/2 minute quadrangle map. The surface area to be disturbed is owned by TKY Acquisitions, LLC, Corrigan TLP, LLC, and Edd B. Jones. The underground operations will underlie land owned by WPP, LLC and Penn Virginia Operating Co., LLC.
The application has been filed for public inspection at the Department for Natural Resources Middleboro Regional Office, 1804 E. Cumberland Avenue, Middlesboro, Kentucky 40965. Written comments or objections must be filed with the Director, Division of Mine Permits, 300 Sower Blvd, Frankfort, Kentucky 40601.
ORDINANCE NO. 2021-14
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CORBIN, KENTUCKY, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 4-2005 WHICH AMENDED ORDINANCE NO.12-2003, AND WHICH PLACED THE BUILDING INSPECTOR ALSO AS THE CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER AND THIS ORDINANCE DELETES THE BUILDING INSPECTOR AS ALSO THE CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF CORBIN, KENTUCKY, as follows:
SECTION 1: Ordinance No. 4-2005 at Section 1 shall read as follows:
Code Enforcement Officer shall mean the building inspector, a city police officer, safety officer, citation officer, or other public law enforcement officer with the authority to issue a citation, as set forth in Ordinance No. 12-2003.
SECTION 2: All sections or portions of Ordinance No. 4-2005 and Ordinance No. 12-2003 not expressly amended herein shall remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 3: This Ordinance shall take effect upon due passage and legal advertisement.

PUBLIC NOTICE
An Ordinance amending the Whitley County Budget for Fiscal Year 2020-2021, to include unanticipated receipts increasing/decreasing from various Funds in the amount of $1,211,669.00 and increasing/decreasing expenditures from the various Funds in the amount of $1,211,669.00 was passed on 12/21/21. A copy of the Ordinance with full text is available for public inspection at the Office of the County Judge Executive during normal business hours.
