Williamsburg Health & Rehabilitation Center was named a “2021 Best of Kentucky” nursing and rehabilitation facility during the Kentucky Association of Health Care Facilities (KAHCF) Quality Awards Banquet, which was held Nov. 11 at the Galt House in Louisville.

“We’re proud that our facility was recognized as a Best of Kentucky award recipient. Our staff goes above and beyond every day to provide excellent care for our residents,” said Williamsburg H&RC Administrator Laura Creekmore.
The 2021 Best of Kentucky honorees were selected based on CMS star ratings of four or higher, and satisfaction surveys of residents and families. Other local winners were:
- Misty Stanek, Corbin Health & Rehabilitation Center, Supportive Care Award.
- Crystal Miller, Hillcrest Health and Rehabilitation Center, Caregiving Award.
- Renae Rice, Barbourville Health & Rehabilitation Center, Caregiving Award.
“We were honored to be able to recognize the strength and resilience of these nursing facilities and their staff. It is a special group of people who dedicate their lives to providing outstanding care and compassion to their residents,” said KAHCF President Betsy Johnson. “This recognition is a testament to their dedication to their residents.”
Long-term care providers attended the KAHCF Annual Meeting and Expo, energized by general sessions challenging them with strategies to cope with stress on the job, hiring and retaining quality staff, COVID-19 safety measurements, and regulatory issues.
