The Corbin High School Marching Band rode off in style with a police and fire department escort on its way to the Midstates Championships in Ohio.
The band received the reserved grand champions award for its show “Voodoo.”
The students came in second place with a difference of 0.6 between the scores of first place and second.
Band Director Benjamen Duncan posted on Facebook, “What an adventure of a season this has been. The growth in all of the students is incredible to see. I am speechless.”
Duncan replaced former director Jimmy Cornn after he announced he had taken a position with another school district earlier this season.
