William “Bill” Brown

William “Bill” Brown, age 60, passed away. To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under Heaven. A time to be born: Bill was born November 18, 1960, and a time to die: Bill passed away Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at Baptist Health Corbin.
A Christian by faith, Bill was a member of First Baptist Church. Bill was an accomplished journeyman electrician and a proud member of IBEW #369. He was a member of the Whitley County Shrine Club, having served as president.
Bill’s sense of humor and his life touched many people.
Bill was preceded in death by his father, Jim B. Brown; his grandparents, Pete and Goldie Hubbs and Walter and Ann Brown all of Williamsburg, KY; and other beloved aunts and uncles.
And now abideth faith, hope, love; these three but the greatest is love.
He left behind many that loved him dearly. Mother, JoAnn Brown; daughter, Jana Brown (Amanda); son, Jim Bart Brown; sister, Debra Brown (Joe McNaughton); significant other, Diane Mason (Lize and Josh); grandchildren, Katie, Hailey, and Jayce Brown; aunt, Ada Bailey; uncle, Johnny (Sue) Brown; uncle, Damon Brown; aunt, Betty Mauney; uncle, Willis Hubbs (Vicki); aunt, Senia Brown (Carl Ray); aunt, Peggy Brown (Gary); special aunt, Billie Evans; special nephews, Tristan Hall, and Glen Hall II; special cousins, Joe Brown, Fee Brown, Howard Hubbs, Bo Hubbs, Miranda Hubbs, Kevin Hubbs, Linda Pate, Paula Mauney, Beverly Hubbs, Walter Brown, William Cox, Jason Pate, Raquel Hawley, Brittany Southerland, Dusty Brown, Tyler Brown, Justin Brown, Hunter Brown, Jeremy Brown, Chris Hubbs, and Forrester Daugherty; and a host of relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral service was Monday, October 4, at Ellison Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Decker and Glen Ray Hall officiating.
Honorary pallbearers were IBEW #369, WHS Class of 1978, First Baptist Men’s Sunday School Class, Danny Hoke, Dr. Henry Bunch, Scott Cooper, Jim Henderlight, Thom Young, Steve Kersey, Mike Kinder (Regina), Bobby West, Lenny Strunk, Kenny Shaw, Tony Barton, Danny Davenport, Junior Peace, Coach Bob Rose, Gary Peters and Terry Hamblin.
