Selena Danyal McGhee

Selena Danyal McGhee, age 46, of Jellico, Tennessee passed away Thursday, August 12, 2021 at Baptist Health Corbin. She was born on October 19, 1974 in Clearwater, Florida.
Her paternal grandparents were the late Silas McGhee and Lura June (Siddall) McGhee. Her maternal grandparents were the late Homer K. Solomon and Mary (Hicks) Solomon.
Her paternal great-grandparents were the late Phillip and Charslie Siddall. Her maternal great-grandparents were the late Lindsay and Mary Solomon.
Danyal was a member of First Christian Church of Jellico. She was a graduate of Jellico High School, class of 1992. She was also a certified nursing assistant.
In addition to her grandparents and great-grandparents, she was preceded in death by her uncles, Phillip Michael McGhee, William David Hicks, and Lloyd Douglas Noel.
She is survived by her son, Landon Brody McGhee, of the Kentucky Hill Community of Whitley County, KY; parents, Robert L. and Mary Maxine McGhee, of Kentucky Hill; sister, Bobbie Lynn McGhee, of Jellico; aunts and uncles, Silas McGhee, and wife, Pat, of Clearwater, FL, Joann (Walker) McGhee, of Jellico, Ray Hicks, and wife, Pat, of Dayton, Ohio, and Josephine “Josie” (Hicks) Noel, of Louisville, KY; great-aunt, Ruth Wortham, of Oliver Springs; nephews, Sebastian Ellison, and wife, Krista, and Joseph Max Ellison, all of Jellico; special friend, Venis Lay, and Becky Vanderpool, and husband, Ronnie, all of Jellico; and a host of friends, neighbors, cousins, and other relatives to mourn her passing.
Funeral services were held Monday, August 16, at the Cox & Son Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. E. Wayne Barton II, officiating. Special music was provided by Annette Davis.
Interment followed on Tuesday, August 17, in the Douglas Cemetery located in Campbell County, TN.
