Kenneth Roy Hayes Sr.
Kenneth Roy Hayes Sr., 64, of Louis Strunk Road, Williamsburg departed this life on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, TN.
He was born on May 20, 1954 in Cincinnati, OH to the late Junior Greene Hayes and Cassie Bernice (Gibbons) Hayes.
In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Dees and brother-in-law, Ronnie Dees. He was the Service Commander of the J.C. Paul Marine Corps Detachment.
He is survived by his wife, Rosa Hayes of Williamsburg; son, K.R. Hayes (Bobbi) of Williamsburg; two grandchildren, Logan and Ryan Hayes; his mother, Cassie Bernice Hayes of Williamsburg; five sisters, Bonnie Huffman (James) of Williamsburg, Sue Carr (Roy) of Williamsburg, Burma Lemmings (Ronnie) of Williamsburg, Lillie Mae Elwick (Clyde) of Williamsburg and Mary “Bea” Ingram (Joseph) of North Carolina; six brothers, Dennis Hayes of Williamsburg, Rick Hayes (Betty) of Williamsburg, Steve Hayes of Williamsburg, Jimmy Hayes (Juanita) of Tennessee, Danny Hayes (Ruby) of North Carolina and Chris Hayes (April) of Williamsburg; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.
The funeral service was held Monday, May 13, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Doyle Lester and Rev. Michael Floyd officiating.
