Beulah Marie Croley Lake
Beulah Marie Croley Lake, 87, of Highway 1809, Barbourville departed this life on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at her home.
She was born on January 26, 1931 to the late John Croley and Elizabeth “Belle” (McKeehan) Croley.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Lake; a son, Randall Lake; special brother-in-law, Preston Lake; sisters, Euviva White, Pauline Hedgenus and Roberta Rhodes; and brothers, Elmer Croley, LB Croley, Estil Croley and Charlie Croley.
Beulah was a cook for the Whitley County Board of Education where she worked at Poplar Creek School and the high school. She was a member of the Locust Grove Baptist Church.
She is survived by seven daughters, Doxie Waddell (Rev. Larry) of Williamsburg, Donna Roger (Russell) of Beaver Dam, Joann Shepler (Roger) of Beaver Dam, Patty Stanley (Larry) of Siler, Judy Callahan (Rev. Larry) of Barbourville, Wilma Lake (Terrell Karr) of Siler, and Melissa Lay (Jeremiah) of Grundy, VA; son, Ronald Lake (Judy) of Barbourville; 13 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; sister, Wilma McFarland (Jim) of Ohio; two brothers, Ralph Croley (Pat) and Don Croley (Joyce) of Ohio; and a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.
The funeral service was held Saturday, December 22, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Waylan Hunter, Rev. Raymond Parks and Rev. Jim Ball officiating.
Following the service she was laid to rest in the Wilson Cemetery on Goldens Creek.
