Pastor Charlie Lee
Pastor Charlie Lee, 83, of Hebron, OH departed this life on Monday, September 3, 2018.
He was born on December 21, 1934 in Whitley County, to the late George and Mattie (Lawson) Lee.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Fred, Walter, B.A., Henry, L.N. and Dewey Lee and his sister, Georgia Whitt. He was a graduate of Poplar Creek High School, class of 1953.
He served honorably for 12 years in the United States Air Force, and Newark Air Force Station where he was employed for 20 years.
He was also a Pastor and member of the Hebron Missionary Baptist Church. He loved coaching baseball, golfing and was the biggest University of Kentucky “Wildcats” Basketball fan. He loved camping and traveling.
He is survived by his loving family; his wife of 64 years, Barbara, his children Dwayne (Jana), Tony (Di) and Bryon Lee and Sharlotte (Matthew) Snyder; his grandchildren Josh, Samantha, Eric, Ryan, Greyson, and Kylah; great grandchildren Logan, Ryleigh, Carter, Layne and Ryder; along with his brothers Carl, Rondal, Homer and George Lee; many nieces and nephews; and his dear friends Harlis and Maryellen Mullins of California.
The funeral service was held Saturday, September 8, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel. He was laid to rest in the Faulkner Cemetery.
Military graveside honors were conducted by the American Legion Post #88 of Corbin.
