Joe Stanley Logan

Joe Stanley Logan, 93, of Lexington passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2018.

Born August 23, 1924, in Woodbine, he was the son of the late John T. and Emma C. Logan.

He was retired from the U.S. military, having served in the Air Force, Army, and Marine Corps.

In addition to his father and mother, he was preceded by his wife, Virginia Jones Logan and brother, Dallas Logan.

He leaves behind three sons: Richard Logan and wife Renee, Raymond Logan and wife Kim, and Stan Logan; several grandchildren; sister, Joan Berry; and two brothers: Freddie Logan and Donnie Logan; as well as other relatives and numerous friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral services were held Friday, August 3, at Grace Baptist Church in Lexington with Pastor Steven Price officiating.

The graveside committal service was held Saturday, August 4, in Campbell Cemetery at Woodbine, with military rites conducted by the D.A.V. Chapter 158.

Hart Funeral Home, Inc., was in charge of arrangements.
