Corbin Library hosting cooking night for teens Friday
Middle and high school aged children will have the opportunity to learn some basic kitchen skills and how to make fajitas Friday at the Corbin Public Library’s Teen Cooking Night.
Over the course of the hour-and-a-half long class, the students will cut and prepare the vegetables for the fajitas.
“If you get the kids involved with the cooking, you make them more aware of what they are eating and influence them to make healthier choices,” said Andrea Munoz who will be leading the event.
The event will begin at 5 p.m. and end at approximately 6:45 p.m. with the participants enjoying the fare.
There is no cost to participate and all tools and items will be provided. The event is open to children in grades 6-12.
However, registration deadline is 2 p.m. Wednesday.
More information is available by contacting the library at 528-6366.
