Walter Lee Davis Sr.

Walter Lee Davis Sr., 75, of Shupe Road, Williamsburg, departed this life on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at his home.

He was born on February 3, 1943 in Williamsburg, to the late Edgar Davis and Zelphia (Alsip) Davis.

He was preceded in death by his sons, Walter Lee Davis Jr. and James Davis Sr. and granddaughter, Amy Rains.

He is survived by his daughter, Shawn Freeman and husband James of Williamsburg; two sons, John Wayne Davis and Ronald Davis and wife Cynthia of Williamsburg; six grandchildren, James Freeman Jr., Meagan Siler, James Davis Jr., Tommy Davis, Daniel Davis and Sonya Davis; eleven great-grandchildren; sister, Marie Crusenberry of Williamsburg; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.

The funeral service was held Monday, May 21, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Sester officiating.

Military honors were conducted by the American Legion Post #88 of Corbin.

Graveside services were private.
