Joyce Ann May Thomas

Joyce Ann May Thomas, 72, of Clairfield, TN left her earthly home for heaven on Friday, April 6, 2018.

She was born September 30, 1945 in Oliver Springs, TN. She was a member of The way of Holiness Church of God.

Anyone who knew Joyce knew joy, she loved and worked for the Lord.

She was a light in the darkness, and when she played the piano and sang you could feel and see the love of God. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. This will leave a void in the lives of so many, but it is with great joy that we know in that city of love divine she is going to shout and shine.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Mae Simpson May; brothers, Dennis Ray May, James Doyle May who is survived by wife Sue; sisters, Shirley Faye May, Lois Bray.

She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Donnie Ray Thomas, Sr.; sons, Donnie “Buddy” Ray Thomas, Jr. and wife Deidra, Michael Dwayne Thomas, Brian Lee Thomas and wife Teresa; grandchildren, Bethany (Scott) Adkins, Ashley Thomas, Tyler Lee (Tabitha) Thomas; granddaughter chosen by love, Sara Parks; great granddaughters, Harlee Rae Adkins, Ellie Renee Thomas who is due in August; brother, Edward Lee and Cheri May; and a host of nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law who will greatly mourn her passing.

Funeral services will be held at 12 (noon) Wednesday, April 11, at the Fonde Church of God with Rev. Lonnie Lyke, Rev. Cecil Johnson and Don King officiating.

Music will be provided by her church families: The Fonde Church of God and The Way of Holiness Church of God. Burial will follow in the Fonde Church of God Cemetery.
