Rozena Grant
To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven. A time to be born: Rozena Grant, 89, of Williamsburg. was born September 27, 1928; a time to die: Rozena passed away Monday February 19, 2018 at her sister JoAnn’s home surrounded by loved ones.
A Christian by faith, Rozena was a member of Main Street Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Philaphea Sunday School Class.
She and her late husband owned and operated the Shell Station in Highland Park for many years.
She was a member of the Venus Chapter #179 Order of the Eastern Star and a Kentucky Colonel.
Her kind and beautiful soul touched many lives.
Rozena was preceded in death by her husband Fred Grant, her parents Pete and Goldie Hubbs, sister Fern Young, brothers Howard Hubbs and Kenneth Hubbs.
And now abideth faith, hope, love, these three but the greatest is love.
She left behind many that loved her dearly; Special daughter (niece); Debra Lynn Brown, sisters; Ada Lee Bailey and JoAnn Brown of Williamsburg, Betty Mauney of Powell, TN, brother; Willis Hubbs of Blountville, TN, her special friend of 25 years Clifford Jones, nieces and nephews; Linda Pate, Paula Aethranis, Bill Brown, Kevin Hubbs, Howard Hubbs, Beverly Daughtery, Miranda Binkley and Charles Bo Hubbs., and a host of relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
The funeral service was held Saturday, February 24, at Ellison Funeral Home with Dr. Jerry Lowrie and Rev Glen Ray Hall II officiating.
Interment was in Highland Park Cemetery, Davis Addition.
Venus Chapter #179 Order of the Eastern Star conducted services prior to the funeral service.
