Trula Hawkins Housley

Trula Hawkins Housley, 88, of Jellico went to be with our Heavenly Father Saturday, February 17, 2018.

Faithful member of First Baptist Church, she worked at Capital Theater and Millers Department Store of Jellico, and was co-owner of F & H Market of Jellico, she also worked as teachers aid at Jellico Elementary and High School. In her later years she volunteered in the Jellico Community Hospital gift shop.

Preceded in death by her husband Alex “Skeeze” Housley, parents; Walter Marion Hawkins and Etta Belle Vann Hawkins; sisters, Marie Laxton, Lena Mae Russell, Mary Stinnett, and Martha Ellen Gregory; brother, Norris Hawkins, and daughter-in-law, Sherry Caps Housley.

She is survived by sons; Herbert Housley and wife Becky of Jacksboro, TN, Robin Housley of LaFollette, TN; grandchildren, Alex “Skeeter” Housley and wife Heather of Corbin, Kendra Housley Wilson and husband Justin of Lafollette, TN, Nathan Bunch and wife Kendra of Jacksboro, TN, Whitney Bunch Ball and husband Bryan of Lafollette, TN; and great grandchildren, Kallie Housley, Rukia Bunch, Aria Amelia Bunch, Landon Wagner, Kadyn Ball, Rylee Ball; sister, Dorothy Hawkins Thaler of Corbin, brothers; Joe Hawkins of Georgetown, Ohio, and Paul David Hawkins of Niceville, FL, special nieces, nephews, and many special friends.

The funeral service was held Tuesday, February 20 at the First Baptist Church of Jellico, TN, with Dr. Bob Dunston officiating.

Interment will be Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in the Jellico Cemetery. The family request in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the First Baptist Church, 545 South Main Street, Jellico, TN 37762.

Serving as pall bearers will be Jim Laxton, Sam Cotton, Darby Laxton, Justin Wilson, Andy Thaler, Andrew Thaler, Ryan Thaler, Randy Cline.
