James Roy Sturgill

James Roy Sturgill, 73, of Woodbine passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2018, at his residence.

Born January 26, 1944, he was the son of the late Obie Sturgill and Jeanette Shumate.

In addition to his father and mother, he was preceded in death by two sisters: Ruby June Hatton and Nancy Ann Baker.

He leaves behind four brothers: Billy Sturgill, Charles Shumate, David Shumate, and Pete Richmond and three sisters: Mary Helton, Juanita Nichols, and Fay Nichols; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and numerous friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services were held Saturday, January 6, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Herbert Wells officiating.

Burial followed in Smith Cemetery at Faber.
