Lorene Brown Manning

Lorene Brown Manning, 93, of Crisp Court, Williamsburg, departed this life on January 1, 2018 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.

She was born on May 2, 1924 in Rockholds, to the late James Marion Brown and Allie (Taylor) Brown.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Joe Manning; and her sons, Everett Towe, Clarence Towe and Arthur Towe.

She is survived by her daughter, Betty Lou Lawson; grandsons, Wade F. Rains and Billy Stevens (Jennifer); granddaughters, Sharon Bryant and Cody Toweg; two great-grandchildren, Amber Lorene McCullah and Cheridin Rains of Williamsburg; nieces, Renee Sutton of Corbin, Aretta Moses (Romel) and Rosemary Ratliff of Florida; and a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.

She was laid to rest following a graveside service Thursday, January 4, at the Smith Cemetery with Rev. Doyle Lester officiating.
