Mary K. Greene

Mary K. Greene, 83, passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2017, at her home in Corbin.

Born in Blackmont, Mary was the daughter of the late James “Pig” Tye and Julia Howard Tye.

She was also preceded in death by her husband Billy Greene, and sister Margie Holder and her husband Sid. Mary was a charter member of the Immanuel Baptist Church.

She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Nifty-Fifty Group, enjoyed traveling and fishing, and winters in Florida.

She is survived by two children: Julia Beth Greene Arnold (Raymond) of Corbin and Billy D. Greene of Tampa, FL; two grandsons: Eric Arnold of Corbin and Evan Arnold (Megan) of Harlan; brother Jimmy Tye (Gail) of Jasper, AL; Nieces Mary Lee Holder and Nancy Holder, and Lee Ann Tye; and nephew Patrick Tye.

The funeral service was held Thursday, December 7, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Allen Bonnell and Rev. Bobby Joe Eaton officiating. Burial followed in Green Hills Cemetery in Middlesboro.
