Thelma Clearencie O’Dell
Thelma Clearencie O’Dell, 74, of Williamsburg, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 surrounded by her family and friends.
She was born on February 4, 1943 in Williamsburg, to the late Oscar Sawyers and Gracie Sawyers.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Junior O’Dell; a son, Paul O’Dell and a sister, Erie Lou Hill.
She is survived by her children, Doris Hooker and husband Tim of Morristown, TN, Brenda O’Dell and Doug Taylor of Williamsburg, Mitchell O’Dell and wife Michele of Aurora, CO, Kimberly Vanover and husband Mark of Williamsburg, Beth Brimm and husband Joe of Louisville, TN, Vickie Marshall and husband Michael of Greenback, TN, Alvin O’Dell and wife Debra of Ball Ground, GA and Debbie O’Dell and her husband the late Paul of Orlando, FL: grandchildren, Tony Baldwin, Shawn Baldwin, Shayla Knuckles, Chris O’Dell, Alexandra O’Dell, Aidan O’Dell, Tyler Vanover, Jake Vanover and Sam Vanover; sister, Imodean Sammons of Williamsburg; two brothers, Eugene Sawyers and Andy Sawyers of Williamsburg; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.
The funeral service was held Sunday, December 10, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Loudermilk officiating.
Following the service she was laid to rest in the Maple Creek Cemetery.
