Lois Helen Leach Gilbert
Lois Helen Leach Gilbert, 75, of Corbin, departed this life on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at the Baptist Health in Corbin.
She was born February 20, 1942 in Speedwell, TN to the late Frank and Charity (Haynes) Leach.
Lois was a devoted wife, mother, and she was a successful business owner who operated Williamsburg Tire and Auto until 2010. She was a devout Christian who enjoyed talking about the Bible, sharing her love for Jesus. She never met a stranger and was quick to meet the needs of others with great compassion. She would sit on her porch in her later years and talk to everyone that walked up her street. They would stop and talk and drink coffee, one of her favorite things to do, and talk about life. She always had an ear to hear.
She will be greatly missed by her husband, children, and grandchildren and great grandchildren and all who mourn her passing.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two sisters and five brothers.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years Kenneth Gilbert of Corbin, and three sons (Hands of God Ministries) Pastor Randy Gilbert and wife Missy of Corbin, (Upper Room Revival Center) Pastor Mark Gilbert and wife Tammy Sams of Corbin, Jason Gilbert of Corbin, one daughter Marsha Raney of Corbin; ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, November 2, at the Upper Room Revival Center with Rev. Landon Sexton officiating. Entombment will be in the Pine Hill Cemetery.
