Jessie Dople Hicks

Jessie Dople Hicks, 89, of the Wooldridge community went to be with her Lord on Friday September 22, 2017 at her home.

Jessie is preceded in death by her husbands, Frances Dople Sr. (father of children) and Clyde Hicks; son Jimmy Dople, grandson, Mike Buckner, father, Garrett Bruce, mother, Margaret Bruce, sister, Willie Dople Bruce, brothers, Willie (Blue) Bruce, Floyd Bruce, Raymond Bruce, Ray Bruce, step-son, Darrell Hicks.

She is survived by her daughters; Evie Brewer and husband Fred, Freda Thomas Johnson and husband Eddie, Wanda Lambdin and husband Lonnie, Joyce McGhee and husband Dennis, Faye Chambers and husband Pete, Sheila Irwin and husband Marshall, son Rev. Frances Dople Jr. and wife Peachie, step-daughters, Willa Collins and Sara Hicks, brothers, Rev. Delmus Bruce and wife Rose, Rev. Carlo Bruce and wife Hazel, Edd Bruce and wife Lois, Monroe (Bay) Bruce, Vernon Bruce and wife Donna, 21 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral service was held Monday September 25, at the Llewellyn Funeral Home Chapel in Jellico, TN with the Rev. Jerry Yancey and Rev. Delmus Bruce officiating.

Interment was held Tuesday, September 26, in the Douglas Cemetery at Wooldridge, TN.

The Llewellyn Funeral Home was honored to serve the family.
