Robert Thomas Parker Sr.
Robert Thomas Parker, Sr., 78, of Ainer Jackson Road, Corbin, departed this life on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Hazard ARH in Hazard.
He was born on May 27, 1939 in Williamsburg, to Carlie Parker and Maggie (Peace) Parker.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carlie and Maggie Parker; brother, Edward Parker; wife, Joy Ann Parker; and step-daughter, Shelley Conley.
He was of the Baptist Faith.
He is survived by two daughters, Georgianna Jackson (George Tye) of Corbin and Paula Grubb (Ricky) of Corbin; three sons, Bobby Parker (Patsy) of Rockholds, K.D. Parker of Corbin, and Curt Parker (Evy) of Corbin; mother of his children, Billie Parker of Corbin; eight grandchildren, Amanda Jackson, Kellie Parker, Tarrah Parkins, Robert Ray Parker, Hannah Parker, Jacob Parker, Lucas Grubb, and Logan Grubb; three great grandchildren, Kiley Parker, Everly Rhodes, and Emmerson Parker; three brothers, Larry Parker (Peanut) of Corbin, Nick Parker (Rose Marie) of Williamsburg, and Bill Parker (Kathryn) of Williamsburg; step children, Randy Moore (Debbie) of Indiana, Linda Hart (Dallas) of Corbin, Tammy Moore of Indiana, Terry Moore of Williamsburg, Wesley Moore (Stacey) of Indiana, and Kevin Moore (Lisa) of Indiana; and a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 28, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Vernon Jones officiating.
Following the service he will be laid to rest in the Slusher Cemetery at Rockholds.
Military graveside honors will be conducted by American Legion Post 88 of Corbin, KY.
Carlie Parker, Daniel Parker, Ben Parker, Cole Parker, Robert Parker, and Dale Lewis will serve as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers are Jacob Parker, Lucas Grubb, Logan Grubb, Nicholas Parker, and Landenn Paul.
