Wanda Lee Lester Rains

Wanda Lee Lester Rains, of Corbin and formerly of the Jellico Creek departed this life on Sunday, March 26, 2017 at her home.

She was born on July 26, 1941 in Whitley County, to the late William Lester and Shirley Grace Cornelius Lester.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joe Rains; a son, Frank Rains and her brothers, Lonnie Lester and his wife Bonnie, William Lester Jr. and Delmer Lester. Wanda was a member of Jellico Creek Baptist Church.

She is survived by her two daughters, Kimberly Jo Rayborn of Corbin and Kelley Rae McKeehan (Gary) of Rockholds; two grandchildren, Lucas Ray McKeehan and Haylee Lynn McKeehan of Rockholds; two brothers, Rev. Doyle Lester and wife Wanda of Williamsburg and Duell Lester and wife Etta Mae of Mason, Ohio; one sister, Joyce West and husband Darrell of Williamsburg, many nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour on Thursday, March 30, at Croley Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 30, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lloyd Taylor and Dr. Jerry Lowrie officiating.

She will be laid to rest in the Whitley Memorial Gardens.
