Frank D. Klein
Frank D. Klein would like to let everyone know that his work here is done. He received a call after 87 years for an appointment from which he will not be returning.
This assignment comes with a huge sign on bonus, a reunion with family and friends he has not seen in a long time. His new mission takes him to a wonderful place where he will be socializing until his heart’s content.
He left instructions with Shirley and the family to celebrate his mission here which is now completed.
We want him to let him know that he did a great job and want to wish him a safe journey. We will remember his smile, his warmth, his love for life, family and friends. All the people he met many of whom became friends.
His love for his kids and grandkids was immense. Anyone who knew him knew he loved to show pictures and talk about them to everyone.
He served in the United States Army for 12 years. He was a Korean War Veteran and was awarded many metals.
He managed Hilton’s, Holiday Inn’s and Ramada’s in Kentucky, Ohio, Colorado, North Carolina, Texas, New Mexico, Louisiana and Florida. He was a Realtor with Century 21 in Florida and retired from Ramcell Cellular phone company in Williamsburg.
He was born October 1928 in Cincinnati, OH and died September 2016 in Asheville North Carolina.
He is proceeded in death by his father Matthew Klein and mother Anna Willison of Cincinnati Ohio. Grandparents Mathais Klein and Kathereina Klein, German immigrants.
He is survived by his wife Shirley Klein of Hayesville North Carolina on the shores of beautiful Lake Chatuge. Daughter Tammy Kimmel (Jack) Sylva, North Carolina, Son Martin Klein Knoxville, Tennessee , Granddaughters Lindsay Misch and Courtney Kimmel and Grandson Aaron Kimmel.
His memorial service will be in Williamsburg Kentucky at the convention center July 2017.
Interment of his cremains will be at Oak Lawn cemetery in Pleasant View Kentucky alongside his Father in Law Wilse Cox and Mother in Law Mable Cox.
